| A two-way standout for his Cordova team, Simon plays linebacker, drops into coverage, running back, and special teams. He is a clutch player that made huge plays on defense to seal his team's State Championship. He has very good size, balance, and instincts. His best position on the next level may be defense. 2008 Stats: Simon rushed for 2,958 yards and scored 42 touchdowns during his senior season. He sits as the third-ranked rusher in Alabama High School History with just over 8,500 yards.
2008 Awards: Simon was named ASWA First Team All-State 3A Back of the Year, he was runner-up in Mr. Football voting, Birmingham News All-State (all classes) and All-Metro.
Week one Stars of Alabama (against Dora rushed for 162 yards and seven touches, scoring twice including a punt return for a touchdown. He had a total of 222 total yards.)
2007: Simon rushed for 1,566 yards on 176 carries and 33 touchdowns on the state championship team in his junior season.
Simon was honored with The Birmingham News 2007 Super All-Metro Team AISA-1A-6A Running Back and their Offensive Player of the Year, ASWA Super 12 at running back as a junior and All-State 3A RB First Team by both the ASWA (3A) and Birmingham News All-State First Team (all classes). He was also selected by the Orlando Sentinel for their All-Southern Team (AL).
