Tommy Trott caught 63 passes for 1163 yds and 17 TDs as a junior. He also competes on the baseball and basketball teams for the Wildcats. Trott's father (Marvin) played college football at Auburn. His grandfather (Bobby Barnes) played baseball and football at Alabama.
As a senior, Trott caught forty-nine passes for 944 yards with thirteen touchdowns. He also rushed ten times for sixty-two yards with four touchdowns. On defense, Trott recorded fifty-one tackles, two sacks, and one interception returned for a touchdown.
Trott finished his career with forty-three total touchdowns.
Coach's Comments: "Tommy has impeccable character," said Head Coach Randy Ragsdale. "He has great hand-eye coordination and a knack for getting his hands up and bringing them down quick for a reception."
Scouting Report: Tommy Trott is a hard-nosed football player who could have played in any era of football. He is an exceptional receiver and good blocker. Trott catches the football well in traffic. He is also a playmaker at defensive end as a pass-rusher even though the bulk of his playing time is spent on offense.
