Randall Mackey was one of 57 players across 24 states named to the PARADE's All-America High School Football Team.
Mackey was one of five players named on the team as an all-purpose player. The 6'1", 190 quarterback received the honor after throwing for 3,103 yards and 33 touchdowns and put up 1,087 yards rushing with 17 touchdowns.
Mackey has been a starter since the eighth grade. He transferred from Port Vincent to Bastrop before his sophomore season due to Hurricane Katrina
(Sr.) Voted 1st Team All-State for the third year in a row and earned Outstanding Offensive Player of the Year in Class 4A along with many other honors including Mr. Football for 2007. On the year, he completed 203-of-313 for 3,101 yards with 33 TDs and 9 INTs. He also led Bastrop in rushing with 163 carries for 1,083 yards and 17 TDs.
(Jr.) Was a Class 4A 1st Team All-State selection. Threw for 2,066 yards and 27 TDs despite missing three regular season games
(So.) Tabbed Class 4A 1st Team All-State. Completed 109-of-179 passes for over 2,000 yards with 27 TDs and 8 INTs
