The 5' 9, 160 pound scat back out of Hallandale (FL) has had
some big time performances this season.
"I have 948 rushing yards,
11 TD's on 70 carries and 150 receiving yards, 1 TD with 5 catches," added
Korvic Neat. "We are 5-2 right now. We play Booker T. Washington Friday."
When
describing his game; football savvy comes to mind.
"I am a smart player.
I understand the game. I use that to my advantage. I am always looking for the
TD. I am always looking for a big play. Every time I touch it, I am looking to
go the distance. I try to use my quickness and speed to my advantage."
Neat
has a couple new suitors.
"Ole Miss called me for the first tiem last
Thursday and Oregon called me last Tuesday. Both of them called me back this week,
so I guess things are going good."
What did Ole Miss tell Korvic when
they made contact?
"Coach Vaughn called me again on Monday and told
me that he really liked my tape. He wants to get a visit set up."
Neat's
knowledge on Ole Miss is limited.
"The only thing I know is that they
beat Florida. I watched that game, and I was really impressed with them. I thought
#22 (Dexter McCluster) had a lot of the same game that I do."
What
did Oregon say?
"They started calling my coach, and then they made
contact with me this week. They told me they loved my speed. They think I could
play some slot for them."
A couple of instate colleges are staying
in contact?
"I am getting calls from FIU and South Florida State."
What
is South Florida saying?
"They want me to come in as a freshman and
be their returner and play some slot. Coach Scott has not seen my highlight tape
yet, but he is suppose to show it to them soon."
Korvic is a little
more familiar with South Florida.
"I know they are a very fast team.
They have a lot of speed on their team. They have a nice atmosphere. I have been
to their campus and I like their atmosphere."
What about FIU?
"They
want me to come in and start as a freshman at slot and be their kick returner.
I committed to FIU over the same at their camp, but I am going to see what some
of these other schools have to offer too."
What stands out about FIU?
"They
are a young team. I could help grow with them and be a heavy contributor."
Neat
reports a 2.8 Core GPA/ 18 ACT
