The 5' 10", 165 pound cornerback out of Olive Branch lost a tough game against South Panola, but he believes his team learned something from that game.
"We know that we can match up with them, physically, now. We
just can not get off to a bad start like we did," added Keshun Cowan. But
we know that if we keep working hard, things might be different next time we see
them in the playoffs."
Cowan has 24 tackles, 2 int's, and over 350
yards receiving this season. What has he improved on?
"I am about
the same right now. I am reading the offenses better. I can pick out the plays
before they are run. I guess that is the main thing, better recognition."
How
has the team improved?
"We seem to be better in spots on the field.
We have a couple folks stepping up to help us get better."
Some of
those players are transfers from the City of Memphis. Is it hard getting adjusted
to one another on such short notice?
"It is kind of hard at the beginning,
but after we bring them in, they are a part of the family. We show them the love
and the strategy we have for them. It has worked out nicely for us, really."
Who
are the schools still interested in KeShun?
"I went to Memphis for
a visit. They are calling a lot. I also went to Alabama for a game. MTSU and USM
are still calling. It is the usual folks. The same colleges are still recruiting
me."
Is Cowan hearing from MSU or Ole Miss?
"No, I stopped
hearing from them in the summer."
Any new offers?
"Still
just Central Arkansas. I think Memphis is getting close though."
Keshun
would prefer to play in the SEC.
"I would like to go to any SEC school.
I have always dreamed of playing in the SEC, but if I do not get that chance,
I will go 110 percent for anyone."
