Scout.com's #59 nationally rated running back received a big scare
last Friday night against MUS.
"I got the ball and ran for about 10
yards," added Gabriel Hunter. "Then someone hit my legs from the blind
side. I fell and twisted my leg and it hurt real bad/real bad. I did not hear
anything pop, but the next morning it was real swollen. Luckily, it has gone down."
Hunter
went to the doctor to check out the injury the day after Labor Day.
"I
did some X-rays, and he said it looked alight, but I am going back today to do
a MRI. He said he could not tell what went wrong so he wanted to get some more
tests on it."
The Ole Miss commit heard from the Rebel coaches on
Sunday.
"Coaches Nutt and Nix called and told me that they wished
me well. I was suppose to have been at their game on Saturday, but I was on crutches
the next day. I couldn't walk. They just wanted to wish me well and make sure
that I am still strong with my commitment. And of course, they told me to stay
on my books (laugh). They are always staying on me about my books (laugh)."
