Jordan Yarbrough (LB, Memphis, TN) - The 6' 0, 225 pound
linebacker out of White Station is one of Memphis' 's top prospects for the '08
season.
"I took pictures today for the All-Prep team for the Commercial
Appeal, and I also took some pics for some prep magazine," added Jordan Yarbrough who collected 78 tackles and 7 sacks as a junior despite sharing the
linebacker duties with Chris Marve and Bandon Boykin. "It is fun getting
recognized, but I just want to win that ring. That is all I really want for my
senior year."
It should come as no surprise that Yarbrough has been
hanging around his team through the summer months.
"That is all I
have been doing, just working out with my teammates and practicing hard. It has
been going good. We have a lot of young freshmen stepping up, and we have some
older guys that are coming through. We are working harder than ever. We are trying
to be real good around here."
Which colleges have been keeping in
contact?
"None of them really. Ole Miss sent me a media guide, and
that is about it. The rest of them are just giving me junk mail."
Who
is Jordan keeping an eye on?
"Anybody who is looking at me, I am looking
at them."
Which colleges are looking at Jordan?
"Mainly
Arkansas, Ole Miss, and MTSU."
What stands out about Arkansas?
"It
is cool, I guess. It is football in the SEC."
What are Ole Miss' positives?
"Well,
that is the only camp I have been to this summer. It was cool working out with
some college players and going through some of the drills. They have offered me
too."
And MTSU?
"They have not said too much, but it is
not too far from home."
Has his hometown school, Memphis, made any
contact?
"No, I have not heard from them at all, nothing. I do not
know what is going on. I just can't let myself worry about all of that stuff.
I am going to just go out there and try and get a ring. Everything else will take
care of itself."
