"It has been straight," added Anthony Williams. "I am
just getting ready for Jesuit on Friday. I am really ready for it because I had
to sit out the Spring game because I transferred and they made me sit it out."
Last
season, Williams caught 38 passes for 480 yards and 4 TD's, but he believes he
might be headed for an even bigger season this year.
"I am a lot stronger
and faster now. That has helped my game out a lot. I am looking to double my yards
per catch average from last season."
Anthony had three SEC teams
out in front of the pack heading into the summer, and entering the Fall, nothing
has changed.
"Georgia, Ole Miss, and Arkansas are still my top schools.
I am still listening to what the other schools (Indiana and Rutgers) have to say
that have offered me though."
Has Williams set up any visits yet?
"No,
not yet, but I plan on attending a game at Arkansas, Georgia, and Ole Miss'. I
really have not been talking to the recruiters lately because they can't call
us, and I have been busy getting prepared for the season, but they start calling
us again on Sunday. I will get the dates set up when I am in contact with them
again."
What stands out about each school?
Georgia
- "I think the reason they are in my top 3 is because of QB Aaron Murray.
He was my little league QB and we became close friends. Every since we were young
we have talked about going to the same college together."
Ole
Miss - "The coaching staff there is awesome. Coach Vaughn, when he
was down here recruiting me, we had a good conversation. He did not put any pressure
on me to commit, he just said I could be a big part of his offense."
Arkansas
- "I just like their school because I grew up watching Arkansas football."
When
it does come decision time; what will be the factors?
"It does not
really matter if I play my freshman season or redshirt, I just want to look at
their academics because my mom is going to really involved in my decision."
