Holloway Headed to Oxford
The NCAA Clearinghouse finally got around to Murphy Holloway Tuesday, and the result has Scout.com's No. 20 small forward cleared to enroll immediately at Ole Miss.
Holloway (6-foot-7), South Carolina's Gatorade Player of the Year and Mr. Basketball, will arrive in Oxford Wednesday with his mother and attend student orientation later in the week.
The Irmo, S.C., native averaged 28 points and 15 rebounds during his senior season for Dutch Fork High School, on the way to repeating as South Carolina 4A Player of the Year. Holloway chose Ole Miss over Maryland, South Carolina and Clemson.
With Holloway's arrival, Ole Miss' incoming class includes Will Bogan, Terrico White, Terrance Henry, Holloway and JUCO DeAundre Cranston.
Rebel signee Brandon Wilson failed to qualify and will attend Jones Community College.
Ole Miss begins its season Friday Nov. 14 at home versus Arkansas State.
