Did attending camps at Ole Miss and Alabama give Norwood a better feel
for those schools?
"Yes, I enjoyed both camps. I was able to
spend some time with Alabama coaches and I had a good time at the camp,"
added Kevin Norwood. "I wish I could have stayed at Ole Miss longer. I enjoyed
the camp and thought they had great facilities. The Ole Miss drive that me and
Jacoby Bell seemed like it took along time, but it wasn't that bad."Any
new scholarship offers?
"I've haven't gotten any new offers. I've been
offered by Alabama, Ole Miss, USM and Mississippi State."
Are
any other schools close to offering Scout.com's #87 WR?
"I
would say that Auburn and Louisiana Lafayette are both close to offering. I really
think Auburn is close. They send me a lot of mail."
What team
is recruiting Norwood the hardest?
"Alabama is recruiting me
the hardest. They send me something everyday, and I like their coaches a lot."
Has Norwood talked with his teammate and best friend, TE/LB Jacoby Bell,
about playing together on the next level?
"We've talked about
it. I think we'd both like to do that but we have to do what's best for us. But
we would both love to play together at the next level."
Does
Norwood have a leader?
"No, but I have a top three. Alabama,
Ole Miss and USM are my top three."
When does the south Mississippi
star plan on making a decision?
"I'll probably wait until the
end of my season or after my season is over before making a decision."
This looks to be a classic recruiting battle that will go down to the end.
One thing is for sure, Norwood is worth fighting for.
Kevin had 33 catches
for 688 yards and 11 TD's. On defense, he had 11 int's while manning the safety
position. Norwood was named D' Iberville's Defensive MVP, Best WR, and made the
All-Coast team by the Sun Herald.
