The Ole Miss Insider takes a look at some of the top quarterback prospects being recruited by the Rebels coaching staff:
Omarr Conner (6-0/205) Noxubee County HS- Macon, MS
Conner is a talented athlete who has put up gaudy statistics in his senior season. Currently, Conner has accounted for 40 touchdowns and four PAT’s with games still remaining. Conner is a dual-threat who can beat a defense on the ground or through the air. In fact, he is an excellent athlete that most coaches believe can play other positions on the college level. Ole Miss has offered. Conner is considering the Rebels along with Alabama, Auburn, Louisiana State, and Mississippi State.
Cliff Davis (6-4/200) Eupora, MS
Davis has excellent size and the intangibles college coaches are looking for. As a senior, Davis has already passed for 1,127 yards and 23 touchdowns with games still remaining on his team’s schedule. Ole Miss has not offered but Mississippi State and Louisiana State have. Nonetheless, the Rebels could be tough to beat if Davis is extended an offer at some point in the process.
Stephen Reaves (6-1/180) Plant HS- Tampa, FL
Reaves is the son of former Florida great, John Reaves, who was a standout quarterback from the 70’s. He has thrown for over 1,000 yards and ten touchdowns so far this season. Connecticut, Louisville, Minnesota, and Wake Forest have extended scholarship offers. Ole Miss has not extended an offer but they raised their level of interest after scouting Reaves in a recent game.
Jeremy Young (6-4/190) Provine HS- Jackson, MS
Young is also a dual-threat quarterback who can put pressure on opposing defenses with his arm or his legs. He has already scored six rushing touchdowns and passed for 14 more touchdowns with games remaining in his season. The race for Young’s signature will be an instate battle between Mississippi State, Ole Miss, and Southern Miss. The Rebels have made up significant ground for Young.
