Baseball juco star set to visit Ole Miss

The 6' 2", 165 right hand pitching prospect out of San Jacinto CC (TX) is expected to take an official visit to Ole Miss this weekend.
"I like Ole Miss because it is in a small college town where everybody knows who you are, and the atmosphere at their games is second to none. They play big time baseball at Ole Miss," added Chris Corrigan who was drafted by the Toronto Blue Jays in the 18th round this past draft. "I also like Ole Miss because they are so hungry to get back to the World Series. They have been like one or two outs always the past three years and keep coming up a little short. I think I can be the one to get them over the hump. I can't wait to see their facilities this weekend. I hear they are great."
Corrigan throws some cheese as he tops out at 94 MPH and averages in the 91-92 range, but he also has a wide arrange of pitches in his arsenal.
"My two seam fastball is my best pitch because I can place it and it moves so much, but I throw a pretty good curve, slider, and change-up too."
The Houston (TX) native is considered one of the Top 5 juco pitchers in the country, according to Baseball America. Who are his top schools?
"Ole Miss, Arizona State, Arizona, and Arkansas are right there together. They all call me every week and stay on me. My coach said Texas and Rice are looking at me real hard too. I am just looking to go to a winning program."
What stands out about each school?
"Arizona is just a good baseball program. I really do not know too much about them, but I am going on my official there from September 14-16."
"I know Arizona State (visits September 21-23) and Arkansas have real good programs, and Arkansas has a good field and facilities. ASU went to the World Series last year so that tells you something about their program. I am real excited about that. If I go to ASU, I have a good chance at making the World Series and getting to play. ASU is one of my top choices."
Will the depth chart be an issue?
"The schools that call me tell me I am going to be a weekend starter, so not really. They need an experienced pitcher with a dominating arm. That is what I bring to the table."
What will Chris look for while he is at his visit to Ole Miss this weekend?
"Their campus life. I want to see their baseball facility. I hear they have a pretty nice one. I just want to go to a big time program where baseball matters."
