Tidbits
Last year Ole Miss spotted Rishaw Johnson at their camp and now the rest is history.
Another lineman that turned their head was Alex Washington. They were also able
to gain a commitment from Drake Nevis who ended decommiting later on in
the recruiting process and signed with LSU.
TE David Rue turned
heads his sophomore summer while attending St. Augustine (LA), and they stayed
on him from that day on. Ditto for Ath Lionel Breaux.
Isaiah Smith was another out of state player that went from
"prospect" to an immediate offer after his performance at last summer's
football camp at Ole Miss.
WR Roderick Davis was already one of
the top receivers on their board, but after he dazzled the coaches at the senior
camp, he became a "want" to a "must have".
The
camps are very helpful for your out of state prospects and just as important for
your instate candidates.
Jamariey Atterberry turned in a big time
performance at the Ole Miss camp last summer and shot to the top of the draft
board for CB's.
Other instate signees who camped at Ole Miss last summer
were S Johnny Brown, S Jamison Hughes, OT Bradley Sowell,
and LB Chris Strong,
For
those counting, that equals 10 of the 17 high school
signees from last year's class as camp participants.
