"We
make a pretty good tandem," commented Jarious Wright. "Me and Greg Childs
have been playing together for a long time, but I was always the QB throwing to
him until this past season. I played mostly receiver last year."
Wright
and Childs helped their team to the 4A State Championship game last season and
went 11-1 their sophomore year.
"I had 51 catches for 1, 086 yards
and 15 TD's."
What makes the All-State, Conference, and All-S' East
Arkansas performer so good?
"I would say my speed, and I have really
good hands."
And what does Jarious need to work on?
"Maybe
my route running, but much more conditioning than anything else."
Wright
was holding scholarship offers from Texas Tech, Oklahoma, Minnesota, Tulsa, Arkansas,
and Tennessee until another SEC school added their name to the hat this week.
"Ole Miss offered me and Greg this week. We actually got it in the mail on Tuesday
and they gave us a text."
What did the text say?
"They
just told us that we are the type of players that will get them over the hump."
Where
does Ole Miss now stand?
"They are right up there with everybody else.."
Is
there any one school that is more consistent in their recruitment with Wright
than the others?
"I would say all of them are pretty consistent, except
for maybe Minnesota and Tulsa. Oklahoma, Arkansas, Texas Tech, Ole Miss, and Tennessee
pretty much text me and write me letters every week."
Has Jarious
had a chance to visit any of the schools he is interested in?
"I have
only been to Arkansas. I went to see them play Tennessee."
Does Wright
plan on taking anymore trips in the near future?
"I plan on trying
to."
Where would he like to visit?
"For sure Oklahoma
and probably Texas Tech. Those are the two I want to visit the most."
What
does Wright like about the Sooners?
"Without me playing favoritism,
I just think I would like it at Oklahoma."
And Texas Tech?
"I
guess because it is in Texas."
Where do the Hogs stand?
"They
stand pretty high with me being from Arkansas."
When it comes decision
time; what will be the main factors?
"Where I can get my education
and go to a good nice program that I can stay out of trouble."
Jarious
reports a 2.7 GPA /17 ACT.
