Rishaw Johnson enjoys Ole Miss visit

Rishaw Johnson

Rishaw Johnson (OL, Hammond, LA) - One of Ole Miss' key commits was in town for the Ole Miss/Georgia game. How did the visit go?

"It always feels like home when I am up there. That is the first thing that comes to mind. But as far as the game, Ole Miss lost a tough one. They should have won," commented Rishaw Johnson.

And what about the atmosphere?

"Their fans are crazy and they really get into it. I thought it would be loud because GA was playing, but not that loud. Everything was great."

What new did Rishaw learn about the Rebels during the trip?

"I spent a few days up there this summer when I went to their camp so I really did not learn anything new about their football program or academics. But, I did learn that chant (Hotty Toddy) they do. I watch them on tv and never understood what they were saying but I do now (laugh)."

Was this Rishaw's first Ole Miss game to attend?

"Yes it was."

After watching them play; what were his thoughts?

"I think I could play early there because they do not have much depth. I was thinking if I work hard in training camp, I can play pretty early."

What did Johnson and the coaches have to say to each other?

"Coach Orgeron was just telling me how tough that loss was for him. He said he could not wait to get me up there. They were just glad that I made the trip."

And who did Rishaw make the trip with?

"I went with a teammate of mine, Conrad Anderson, and his little brother. Conrad is a junior WR on our team and is being recruited by Ole Miss too."

What did Johnson do after the game?

"I went out with Ben Jarvis after the game. We went to school together at St. Augustine. He introduced me to everybody. It seemed like half of their team was from LA. That is one of the reasons it feels so much like home up there."

Did this visit reconfirm the commitment Rishaw made to Ole Miss?

"Yes, I think I will fit in good at Ole Miss."
