"I have 79 passing TD's (25 short of state record). I think I have 12 this season (which is correct). I should be able to get it done as soon as I get back out there," added Drexler Johnson.
Johnson tore his ACL last week but was cleared by the doctors
to resume play.
"I went and got a second opinion on Thursday, and
they said I could wear a brace until the season is over and then I will have surgery
to repair it."
Tonight #2 ranked Wayne County (4-0) faces Green County
but it will be without Johnson's services.
"I will not get my brace
in until next week, so I have to miss tonight's game, but I will be back against
West Jones. They are a big rival of ours, so it was important that I got back
for that game."
Has Johnson seen any improvement in his game this
"I think so. Our OL has really come around, and that has helped
our passing game out a lot. My mechanics are much better this year. I worked real
hard on my release this summer, and I watched a lot of film. I was looking at
our main receiver too much in the past. I am not doing that now."
Drexler has been one of the more efficient signal callers in Mississippi's history,
some schools are still eyeing Drexler for another position.

"I like USM, Auburn, and Florida, pretty much."

"It is real close to home. It will not
be far for the fans to travel. I went to a camp this summer, and I think they
were real impressed with me. I had a field day that day."

"I do not think I will be able to
go there because of my size. I am too small to play QB there."
Ole Miss been in contact lately?
"I have not gotten a letter from
them in a while."
Drexler carries a 2.6 GPA / 15 ACT.
