The following information
was revealed during our interview with Rajon Henley:
How is your
season going? "It was tough. We had a student who transferred from our school
this summer and then he came back. He was ineligible so it knocked us out of the
playoffs. We had to forfeit all of the games he played in. This is my senior year,
so, I really do not know what to say. It hurts."
Personally, how did
your season go? "It went all right. I played the first few games, and then
I hurt my elbow. It kept me out for the rest of the regular season. I was back
to 100% and I was ready for the playoffs. Then we find out about the ineligible
player. I could have actually played in the last regular season game, but our
coaches wanted to rest me for the playoffs. And now I do not even get to play
in the playoffs. I do not know. I guess this is a tough lesson to learn life."
How
many games did you get to play in? "5 1/2 games."
What were
your stats in those games? "I had 46 tackles, 5 sacks, 2 fumble recoveries,
and that is basically about it."
You have been on two official visits,
right? "Yes sir, to Texas Tech and Utah."
Where do you go next?
"I am not sure yet."
Which colleges are keeping in weekly contact
with you? "I get calls from Texas A&M, Ole Miss, Oklahoma, Texas Tech,
TCU, Oklahoma State, and Utah. Those are the ones that call me every week. There
are some more, but they just kind of call me sporadically."
Any new
offers this season? "Oklahoma and TCU offered me a couple of months ago."
Which
brings your offers list to? "Those two and Oklahoma State, Ole Miss, LSU,
Iowa State, Utah, Texas A&M, and Texas Tech."
Which colleges will
you take your last three visits with? "I am not sure. I was always going
to wait until after my season was over to decide on the last three visits. We
just found out that we were ineligible for the playoffs, so this threw me for
a loop. I guess I am going to have to make some decisions now. I will probably
make my mind up next week sometime."
Who is coming after you the hardest?
"Probably Ole Miss and Texas Tech and Utah. All three of them are coming
after me real hard. I like all three of those schools a lot. The rest of the schools
are coming after me real hard too, just not as hard as those three."
