The following information was revealed during our interview with Toren Dixon:

How do you feel like you competed today? "A lot better than I did at the Nike combines. I feel like I improved tremendously from the Nike Combine last week (at Ole Miss). I improved in all of my times, and I was impressed with my performances today."

Which combines have you attended and where do you go from here? "I have been to the Nike combines at TCU and Ole Miss. I have been to this one (scout at Tulane), and I plan on going to LSU and Texas Tech and maybe Florida's."

Which position are you being recruited to play on the next level? "Some schools are recruiting me as a free safety, and some are recruiting me as a wide receiver like New Mexico State, Mississippi State, N' Western, and Texas Tech. The schools that like me at safety are Southern Mississippi, ULM, and I believe Florida."

What are your strengths on both sides of the ball? "Offensively, my height and speed. When I go up against the smaller DB's, I can go up and get the ball and make the big play. And defensively, I can use the same skills I have at receiver and use it at DB. When I am guarding the WR's, I just watch the QB's eyes and I just make a play on the ball. Some of the same skills apply on both sides of the ball. It is an easy adjustment from FS to WR."

What most are you working on? "This summer, I really want to work on my speed. I want to get it down to the 4.5's to 4.4's. I also want to gain about 10 pounds, so I can get to 200. That would be a good playing weight for me."

Which schools are currently recruiting you the hardest? "New Mexico State, ULM, N' Western, and Mississippi State."

Any offers? "Yes, I received one from N' Western, and I got a phone call from Coach Hal Mummy yesterday. He said they were real close to offering me, and they wanted me to take an official visit with them either in January or in the Fall. I am going to go over there to check it out and see what kind of school it is."

Anymore phone calls? "I had been talking to LSU a lot, but I have not talked to them in a while now, so."

Which schools are standing out for you? "I like the SEC schools a lot, but I am mainly looking at how the coaches are, their system, as well as how far it is from home. Those are the things I am going to be looking at while I am being recruited.
