Hendrick puts up impressive combine numbers

Hendrick Leverett (SS/LB, Oak Grove, MS) - Few people tested better than Hendrick Leverett at the scout combine that was held at Tulane.All he did was turn in the lowest 40 time (4.56), highest standing long jump (115"), and second highest vertical (37") out of all of the linebacker prospects that attended the combine.We were able to catch up with Hendrick after the combine took place.

Which position are you being recruited to play for the next level? "Some like me at strong safety and some at linebacker."
And you where do you currently play? "Middle linebacker."
What is your biggest strength on the field? "Probably the run. A lot more on the run."
What most are you working on? "Probably my strength. But if I move to strong safety in college, I will need to work on my speed."
What what were your stats as a junior? "I had 203 tackles, 4 sacks, and 1 defensive TD."
Any awards? "I was named 1st Team All-Area by the
Who are the main schools that are currently recruiting you? "Right now, I have four offers. They are Auburn, Ole Miss, West Virginia, and USM."
Which schools are now at the top of your list? "Ole Miss and Auburn."
What attracts you to Ole Miss? "One of my good friends goes there,
. I went to their Spring game and got to really know a lot of their players. They are real straight. I feel like I fit in. I just felt at home."
What about Auburn? "Probably their defense, and I like their stadium. I feel comfortable with their coaches too."
Have you received any phone calls this month? "Yes sir, a bunch of them. Auburn, USM, Ole Miss, West Virginia, Tennessee, and Florida State."
Who was the first school to call? "Ole Miss."
Where all do you plan to camp at this summer? "Well, the only thing I have been to so far is this (scout combine at Tulane). I will probably go to LSU, Ole Miss, and Auburn this summer."
What will be the main factors for you when it comes decision time? "Probably the whole campus atmosphere and the academic background."
