Although some of the top programs
throughout the country have already offered Chris (Miami, Auburn, and Ole Miss),
Mitchell had not developed the big name in the recruiting circles. That has now
all changed, as Chris simply stole the show during the scout.com combine that
was held at Tulane on Saturday.
Mitchell had the 2nd best vertical (39")
and broad jump (10 feet 9") at the combine. He also recorded the third best
40 time (4.59) on a very slow field.
The following information was
revealed during our interview with Chris Mitchell after the scout.com combine:
What
did you measure in at today? "6' 0", 168."
What was your
recorded 40 time? "I ran a 4.56."
Which position are you being
recruited to play on the next level? "WR."
What are your strengths
at wide receiver? "Catching the ball. I feel like when the ball is in the
air, nobody can out jump me or beat me to the ball."

concentrating on to make yourself a better WR? "My techniques."
What
were your stats as a junior at John Ehret (5A)? "I had 65 catches and 12

All-District, Metro, and 2nd Team All-State."
Are you being moved

of young players coming in, so we are all just trying to learn each other."
Who
are the main schools that are recruiting you? "Miami, Florida, Ole Miss,
UCLA, Auburn. Those are the most consistent."

to, some other have called too."

Wilson from Ole Miss."
Any early scholarship offers? "Ole Miss,
Miami, Auburn, and UCLA is just waiting on my ACT score."
What is
your current academic status? "I have a 2.5 GPA. I just took the ACT test
for the first time this month. I am still waiting for my score."
Which
schools are now at the top of your list? "Miami, Ole Miss, UCLA, and Auburn."
What

What
are UCLA's positives? "I have never been there."
And Auburn?
"I really do not know. I have never been there either."
Where
have you camped and where do you go next? "This is the only camp I have been
to. I will probably go to Miami, Ole Miss, Florida, and Auburn next.
What
will be the main factors for you when it comes decision time? "Mainly, I
will look at how many they are graduating. I will look at how they run their athletic
program. Like, will I be able to come in a play? What benefits me? I will also
look at their campus and campus activities."
