(WR, Amory, MS) - Amory had a disappointing season last year, as they finished with a 4-7 record. The Panther's lone bright spot on offense came from the play of their star wide receiver, Sergio Wallace. Sergio had a 20.3 yards per catch average for the year.

The following information was revealed during our interview with Sergio Wallace:
Which position are you being recruited to play on the next level? "Wide receiver."
What are your strengths at wide receiver? "Just my ability to get open and catch the ball."
What are you working on for the next level? "Getting faster, mainly, just coming off of the line of scrimmage quicker with a man in my face."
How long have you been starting for Amory? "Since my sophomore year."
What were your stats as a junior? "I had 26 catches for 559 yards and 7 TD's."
Did you garner any awards? "I was named MVP for our Offense. I also made All-Monroe, All-District, and All-State."
Which colleges are currently recruiting you? "Mississippi State, Ole Miss,
Tennessee
, Auburn,
Nebraska
. There are a lot of them. Vandy,
Oklahoma
, just a bunch of them."
Any early offers? "No sir."
Who do you feel is closest to offering you? "Ole Miss."
Which schools have you taken an early interest in? "I went to Auburn's and Ole Miss' Jr Day. I like their facilities and atmosphere. I went to a couple of Ole Miss games last year. It's straight."
What did you learn about Ole Miss during your visit? "They want to win big. The freshman can start a lot and stuff."
What did you learn about Auburn? "Basically the same things. They said a lot of the same things."
What stood out about Ole Miss during your trip? "The coaches.. The coaching staff mainly."
What most did you like about Auburn? "They have great players. They work hard. I like how hard they work in practices."
What will you be looking for when it comes decision time? "First, the education. I just want to learn and play sports mainly. I want to play though. I do not want to sit on the bench or anything."
Are you going to attend anymore Jr Days? "No, not right now."
Where do you plan to camp at this summer? "Ole Miss, the Nike camp (Oxford),
Troy State
, and the
Georgia
wide receiver camp."
What is your current academic status? "I have a 3.1 GPA and I have not gotten back my ACT score yet."
