Ole Miss recruiting news and notes

Ricky Jean-Francois

Now that Coach Orgeron has his 4th National Championship under his belt, he is busy spreading the good news about Ole Miss. First on his stop, will be a showing at Countdown to Signing Day on Fox Sports which is affiliated with scout.com. Coach "O" will be on at 5:30 central time, so be sure to not miss the episode.

Tidbits

We hear that Coach Luke was in the home of All-State linebacker, Tim Holloway, this afternoon.

Tim, who is listed as 6' 2", 230, was a two way star for Seminary this season. Holloway rushed for 1,723 yards and 28 TD's at tailback and had 86 tackles and 12 sacks at linebacker.

The Rebels are recruiting Tim as a linebacker prospect. We also found out today that Tim's father played football at Ole Miss and wanted his son to attend the University of Mississippi. He is there for the taking, if the Rebels decide to go on the young man.

Tim has set up an official visit with Ole Miss on January 21st, but he is a "sign and place" candidate.

Look for the name of Antonio Robinson (RB) to pop up among the Ole Miss recruiting circles in the coming days.

Antonio, who is a 6' 2", 200 pound running back that preps at Winnfield (LA), is a 4 Star prospect by scout.com and is ranked as the #22 running back in the country. He committed to LSU early on in the recruiting process, but we hear that he is now wavering. Do not be surprised if you see Coaches Wilson and Camp in his house on Thursday.

Another prospect who has reappeared on the Ole Miss want list is 5 Star prospect, Ricky Jean-Francois.

Ricky, who is a 6' 3", 250 pound defensive end, preps at Miami Carrol. He was quoted in an interview by scout.com as saying, "When USC's defensive line coach (Ed Orgeron) left, it dropped them off my list. They're out of it. He hasn't contacted me since and neither have any of the coaches at Mississippi."

Look for that to change in a hurry, as we hear Coach Orgeron contacted Ricky as soon as he got through winning the National Championship last night.

Reports that Derrick Outlaw (DT) was offered by Ole Miss are not true. Do not expect him to take a visit with the Rebs.

Our sources tell us that they have a couple of December prospects up their sleeve. We can not reveal their names, but do not be shocked if Ole Miss ends up signing up to four December prospects.

This is not a lock, but things are looking better and better to land these them.
