Xavier Webb (3G, Atwood, TN) - Tennessee's District 6(1A) MVP will take an official visit to Ole Miss this weekend.

Webb has been offered by Providence, Ole Miss, Western Kentucky, and UTC.

Ole Miss, Mississippi State, and Auburn are Xavier's top 3 schools.

The following information was revealed during our interview with Mr. Webb:

What is your current height and weight? "I am 6' 9", 200."

Which position are you being recruited to play on the collegiate level? "Some colleges tell me the 3, while others tell me the 4, but most think I will play the 3 later on in my career, so I say the 3."

What are your strengths on the court? "I would say my strengths are shooting, blocking shots, contesting shots, slashing to the basket, posting up, taking the defender off of the dribble. Really, a little of everything."

What are you trying to work on for the next level? "My defensive footspeed. I am trying to become a quicker defender. And I am still working on my jump shot."

How long have you been starting for West Carroll? "All four years."

What were your stats as a junior? "I averaged 23 pts, 11 rebounds, and 5 blocked shots."

How did your team fare for the season? "We made it to the Regionals, and I think we were like 22-9."

Did you garner any awards for your play? "I was named 1st Team All-State, All-West Tennessee, All-Regional, and I was our District MVP. I led West Tennessee in blocked shots, and I think I was second in total rebounds."

Which colleges are recruiting you the hardest? "The hardest, I would say Ole Miss, Auburn, Chattanooga, Western Kentucky, Mississippi State, MTSU, Georgia, and Virginia Tech."

Any offers? "Providence, Ole Miss, Chattanooga, and Western Kentucky have offered."

Which schools are at the top of your list? "Ole Miss, MSU, and Auburn are my Top 3 schools."

Have you set up your official visits? "Only one, I go to Ole Miss this weekend. The other schools are going to set up a visit when they come see me at my house."

Which schools are lined up for an inhome visit? "Auburn comes on September 11th, Chattanooga is on the 26th, and Western KY is on the 16th. MSU called, and they told me they were going to call me back with a date."

What do you like about Ole Miss? "They are recruiting me at the position I want to play, the 3. I like their coaches a lot too. I am going down there this weekend to see if I like the area."

Who recruits you for Ole Miss? "Coach Dildy."

What are MSU's positives? "Their coaching staff and winning tradition."

And Auburn? "I had a few cousins who went to Auburn. I like their coaches and area too."

What will you be looking for when it comes decision time? "I want to know if I am going to play or not. Which position I would play will be pretty important, and how I fit into their system. That will be the main thing, just how I fit into their system."

What is your current GPA and ACT test score? ""I have a 2.4 GPA and I made a 16 ion my first attempt, but I am taking that over the next time they give it."
