The redshirt freshmen got a crash course of what the SEC is all about last season. Now it is their turn to take the Rebels to Omaha.

Inside the article you will read about the redshirt's stats and progression on the diamond.

Peyton Farr, (1B, Monroe, LA) - Peyton is listed as 6' 0" 196. He throws and bats from the right side. Farr had a .400 (4x10) batting average this spring but struck out 5 times. Must makes strides to make more contact. Former HS teammate of Alex Presley and Robert Lane.

Jon-Jon Hancock (1B/RHP, Tupelo, MS) - Jon Jon is listed as 6' 5" 223. He throws and bats from the right side. During the Spring, Hancock hit .300
(6x20) with 3 doubles and 4 RBI's.. Ranked the #2 power hitter in the 2003 class; Great power potential. As a pitcher goes about 88-91 on the mound.
Hancock was 0-1 with a 5.23 ERA in the fall. Did not pitch in spring due to shoulder stiffness.

Alex Kliman, (1B/C, Germantown, TN) Alex is listed as 6' 3" 213. He hits from the left side and throws from the right. Kliman hit .267 (4for15) with a home run during the Spring. He is a strong left-handed swinger that could put up Pettway-type numbers.

Justin Henry (2B, Vicksburg, MS) Justin is listed as 6' 3" 178. He throws from the right side and hits from the left side. Henry batted .211 (4 for
19) in the spring. Very smart player who looks like he will be a good leader. Justin has good plate discipline and should be ready to contribute next season.

Travis Bogue (LHP,, Madison, MS) - Travis is listed as 6' 5" 203. Bogue was 0-0 with a 3.72 ERA (9 2/3 IP) in the spring after struggling in the fall.
Long lefty who must work to use his frame more to his advantage. He also, like any pitcher, must keep the ball down more. Works in the upper eighties but claims to have hit 94 in the past.

Brooks Villar (RHP, Alpharetta, GA) - Listed as 6' 0" 198. Brooks is a small righty who has mid-eighties velocity but thrives on location. Could be similar to Arkansas' Charley Boyce. In seven innings this spring, he was roughed up with a 0 - 1 and a 9.00 ERA. This came after Villar led the pitching staff in the ERA department from the fall games.

William Kline (RHP, Tupelo, MS) - Listed as 6' 3" 215. Will is a powerful looking pitcher who hurls in the upper eighties and can reach the low nineties. Projects to add more velocity as he matures. Quarterback prospect out of high school. Also roughed up in the spring, posting an 0-1, 11.88 mark.
