Where does it go from here? Who knows, but with offers from Kentucky, Akron, North Carolina, Duke, Bowling Green, Wisconsin, Central Michigan, and Indiana, the Rebels
will have their hands full if they decide they want Bill to be their QB for the
The following information was revealed during our interview with Mr. Stull:
What is your current height, weight, and forty time? "I am right under 6'
4", probably 6' 3 1/2. I weigh 195, and my best forty time is a 4.65."
Where all have you camped at this summer? "I went to a couple of small camps
around here that my coach wanted me to go to. I also went to the Nike (Ohio State)
camp, Michigan (1 on 1) camp, Michigan State camp, Bowling Green (Sr) camp, and
I went to the Metro camp that held here in Pittsburgh (PA)."
Will you be attending anymore camps? "No sir, I think that is it (laugh)."
Which position are you being recruited to play on the next level? "QB."
What do you consider to be your strengths on the field? "Strengths, just
winning ball games. I limit my mistakes on the field, like throwing interceptions,
putting us in bad formations. I try to limit my mental mistakes."
Physically, what are your strengths? "I feel I can throw on the run well.
We do a lot of roll outs around here. I feel I have a pretty strong arm, and I
can make all of the throws."
What are you trying to work on to take your game to the next level? "I am
just trying to get faster, work on my footwork some more. Everything basically.
I am not perfect with anything. I need to work on all parts of my game."
Which signal caller do you most look up to? "Dan Marino. I try to do everything
like Dan. He was just so accurate and always looking to score."
How long have you been starting for Seton La Salle (Pittsburgh, PA)? "Just
one year. I started last year as a junior."
What were your stats for the season? "I think I was 164-262 with a 61% completion
ratio. I threw for 2, 262 yards and 22 passing TD's. I also rushed for 5 TD's
Did you garner any awards for your play? "Yes sir. I was named to the Fabulous
22 Team. I was Player of the Week here in Pittsburgh, 1st Team All-Conference,
and Best Offensive Player at Seton La Salle."
Which schools are showing you the most interest? "Ole Miss, Kentucky, Michigan,
Michigan State, and Wisconsin. The schools who have offered me are Kentucky, Akron,
North Carolina, Duke, Bowling Green, Wisconsin, Central Michigan, and Indiana."
Who all called you during the month of May? "All of those schools that offered,
plus I am pretty sure that Ole Miss called, because that was around the time the
Metro camp was going on. I remember my coach telling me that the Ole Miss coach
was coming to scout me."
Anymore phone calls? "I think Kansas. I am not real sure about the other
ones. We have it all written down. My dad has it."
Who called first? "I think it was Bowling Green. Their head coach offered
me right there."
Which coach has made the biggest impact with you? "Good question. I would
have to say Coach Paul Dunn at Kentucky. He is a real genuine kind of guy. Real
nice and friendly. We just kind of clicked."
Which schools are you keeping a close eye on? "Kentucky, Ole Miss, Michigan,
and Wisconsin. We still have a ways to go, but as of right now, those are it."
What all do you like about Kentucky? "I believe they are on the rise. They
are building a good program. When I went down there, you could tell they are trying
to get their program back up. The players respond to their coaches. They have
a good system. They have a lot of good offensive linemen too, as all of the big
What are Ole Miss' positives? "They definitely throw the ball (laugh). I
really do not know that much about them but what I have seen on TV and Eli (Manning).
I just basically know they are a good on the field, and I like the way they play.
They definitely throw the ball."
And Wisconsin? "Besides the fact that they are the biggest school to offer
me, I do not know much about them. They are big time football though, one of the
best programs in the country. I have not visited them, and I am not sure I will.
We still have to visit a lot of schools."
When do you plan to take some visits? "I am not ready to say anything about
that. I will have to sit down with my parents and see about my official visits."
Unofficially, where all do you plan to visit? "I have already been down to
Kentucky, Michigan State, and Ohio State, and all of the schools who have offered
me except Wisconsin. Our family is going to go see Ole Miss play this fall. We
are working on our flight reservations right now. And I also need to go see Wisconsin
and Bowling Breen. We are still doing the recruiting thing."
What are Michigan's positives? "They definitely need a QB, like Ole Miss.
Most of the passing schools have a history of sending their QB's to the NFL. Kentucky,
Ole Miss, and Michigan are no exception. They have sent several to the league.
I want to go to a place where they have a good history at sending players to the
league at my position."
What will be some other factors in your decision making process? "Definitely,
football wise, you are going to have good competition at all of the big time programs.
That will really not be a factor. Academics is going to play a big part. I want
to look at their student/athlete graduation percentages."
Bill carries a 3.0 GPA and is waiting on his ACT result.
