Recruiting Competition: The same as A.J., C.J., was pursued by the in-state schools and chose the Rebels over Mississippi State and Southern Mississippi before "outside" schools could get a bead on the prodigious twins from Bassfield. C.J. never flinched and is now a Rebel.

Quotable: "I went to a game last year and everyone was so friendly and some already knew who I was. The Grove, the excitement, the sway people treat you – I knew that Ole Miss was the place for me. I am so excited about getting to Ole Miss. I just can't wait. I am going to promise the Ole Miss fan base one thing – they will get everything I have to give as a Rebel."

Scouting Report: Being electronically timed at 4.38 several times is all the indication you need of Calvin's speed, but there's much more to him than that. At Bassfield, he has the reputation of being one of the hardest-working players to ever come through that heralded prep program that has produced a lot of Division I players. He is also known for his leadership skills and knowledge of the game.

Bassfield Coach Lance Mancuso: "Calvin, who we call C.J., is an explosive athlete with speed, knowledge and leadership skills. He was our quarterback. He will have to adjust to playing corner or safety on the next level, but as athletic as he is and as smart and driven as he is, I think it will come naturally for him. I can't speak highly enough of this young man. With his attitude, speed, intelligence and work ethic, I consider him a can't-miss prospect for the next level."

Coach Hugh Freeze Quote: "We got C.J. and A.J. confused some in camp when they were here, but we knew one thing for certain – we wanted them both. We loved his attitude, we loved his speed, we loved his approach to the game of football. I am not sure where C.J. will end up. He could be a corner or he could be a safety, but one thing we know he is is a Rebel and we are glad of that. High-character kids with that much skill are how you build a successful program."
