Alabama loses another staff member

Alabama director of player personnel Paul Gonnella has left the program for the same position at South Florida, according to a source with knowledge of the situation.

Alabama director of player personnel Paul Gonnella has left the program for the same position at South Florida, according to a source with knowledge of the situation.

The website CoachingSearch.com was the first to report the news.

Gonella joins Willie Taggart, who was hired as USF's head coach back in December after three seasons at Western Kentucky.

Gonella spent one year at Alabama. Before his stint with the Crimson Tide, he served as the director of player personnel at Purdue and Memphis, and held similar roles at Miami, North Carolina and Tennessee.
