Scout.com evaluation: Tyler has everything you are looking for in a left tackle. He has exceptional footwork and athleticism while also bringing length to the table. The DeSoto Central standout also has a little big of a "dog" in him which is vital in the trenches. Putman will need to gain some more weight and bulk for the next level but a good weight program and not playing basketball anymore will take care of that in a hurry.
