Gators drop in polls

After ascending up the polls to No. 2 last week, the Gators dropped to No. 7 in the Associated Press Poll and No. 6 in the Coaches' Poll this week after losing at Arkansas last Tuesday.

Florida still remains the highest ranked team in the Southeastern Conference, with Kentucky sneaking in at No. 25 as the only other SEC team in the AP Poll. Missouri fell out of the poll after a loss at Texas A&M last week. Florida is the only team ranked in the Coaches' Poll.

The loss at Arkansas was made to look even worse when the Razorbacks went to Vanderbilt and lost by 18 points.

The Gators host Kentucky on Tuesday night at 7 p.m. Wildcats' center Nerlens Noel was named SEC Freshman of the Week for averaging 10 points, 11 rebounds and three blocks in two games. Recommended Stories
