Lohr is another of the list of Commodores who with the upcoming Music City Bowl will have been part of three Vandy teams to compete in bowls; that's half the bowls in the VU program's history. After redshirting during the 2008 season, Lohr jumped into the thick of things during his redshirt freshman season in 2009 finishing the season with 14 tackles. Since that season he has been a vital part of the Commodore defensive line. Lohr's durability has been important to the Commodores' success over the past two seasons. He's a player that rarely gets hurt so he's healthy and available to terrorize opposing team's quarterbacks.

October 29, 2011 versus Arkansas. In the third quarter, with Vanderbilt leading 21-17, Lohr sacks Hog quarterback Tyler Wilson for a 9-yard loss. It was a key play during a game in which Vandy came extremely close to defeating the No. 8 team in the country.

"..exhaustion from practice or a workout often deters one's inspiration or desire to engage in any sort of academic endeavor. So, we are faced with the daunting yet always reliable method of cramming. Cramming is by no means ideal, but it is an unfortunate reality for many student-athletes." Lohr in an interview for the official Vanderbilt University website.
