Youngblood picks Rebs

John Youngblood

Trussville, Ala., DE John Youngblood has been committed to Central Florida, but a late call from Ole Miss and a chance to play in the Southeastern Conference changed his mind.

"I'm real excited," said the 6-5, 235-pounder. "I have known some of the guys on this staff for a while and I felt comfortable with going with them."

Youngblood said he knew Defensive Line Coach Chris Kiffin from when he was being recruited by Arkansas State.

"Coach Kiffin, Tyler Siskey and all those guys have been great to me," he said. "I feel good about spending my next few years with them.

"To get a shot to play in the SEC, well, that's the best. I couldn't ask for more. I will come in and work hard and make Ole Miss proud."

Youngblood had 130 tackles his senior season for Trussville, Ala. Fifteen of those were for loss with six QB sacks and two forced fumbles. Recommended Stories
