Tucker (Ga.) defensive end Jonathan Ledbetter unofficially visited USC and Cal with fellow Peach…
He impressed at Ole Miss' elite camp earlier this month. The Rebels are in need of running backs. Brandon Bolden and Enrique Davis are both entering their final season at Ole Miss. Another Tennessee running back, Memphis' Jaylen Walton, committed to Ole Miss Saturday. "It went real well. It was a fun experience," Medford said of the camp. "I think I tested real well and it brought attention to my name, most definitely. I was just really trying to show them what I have. I come from a small town, so it's kind of hard to get out there. I had an opportunity." Medford ran a sparkling 4.37 40-yard dash at elite camp, and jumped 35 1/2 inches in the vertical. Medford feels Ole Miss is close to offering a scholarship, especially after his conversations with the Ole Miss coaching staff prior to leaving campus. Thaddaeus Medford Chuck Rounsaville "They're trying to keep me a secret, I'm told," he said. "They wanted to (offer a scholarship). They were surprised by my numbers. But they have to go back to the table to discuss me, I guess. I like them a lot. It's pretty cool up there. I've got a lot of interest in them." Medford said some of the positives for Ole Miss are its affiliation with the Southeastern Conference and the relationships he has built with the coaching staff. And he wants to see the field early in his college career. Ole Miss offers that chance. "It just felt like home (at Ole Miss), almost," Medford said. "They're some cool guys. They treated me well, the relationship was great. It was cool." The 5-foot-10, 179-pound Medford has no offers thus far, but Duke, Nebraska, Ole Miss and Arkansas are showing significant interest. Along with Ole Miss, Medford feels Arkansas and Nebraska are closest to extending a scholarship offer. "I'm looking for all of the above -- comfort level, playing time and education. I'm looking for it all. I want to see how the academics are, everything," he said. Medford has already camped at Nebraska. He has scheduled stops for Arkansas, Louisville and Tennessee later this summer. "I want to wait this out and see how it's going to happen," he said. "I'm going to wait it out and go from there." var VideoMediaID = "935140" var VideoStillImageID = "941515" var MediaDir = "http://video.scout.com/media/"; var VideoURL = MediaDir + "video/flv/" + parseInt( VideoMediaID / 10000 ) + "/" + VideoMediaID + ".flv"; var ImageURL = MediaDir + "image/" + parseInt( VideoStillImageID / 10000 ) + "/" + VideoStillImageID + ".jpg"; var so = new SWFObject ('http://cdn-cms.scout.com/swf/flvplayer.swf','mpl','425','340','8'); so.addParam ('allowscriptaccess','always'); so.addParam ('allowfullscreen','true'); so.addVariable ('height','340'); so.addVariable ('width','425'); so.addVariable ('file',VideoURL); so.addVariable ('image',ImageURL); so.addVariable ('backcolor','0x000000'); so.addVariable ('frontcolor','0xFFFFFF'); so.addVariable ('lightcolor','0x00FF00'); so.addVariable ('screencolor','0x000000'); so.addVariable ('logo','http://media.scout.com/media/a/_network/mediaplayer/scoutTVlogo.png'); so.addVariable ('showstop','true'); so.write ('player');
